"Brian Joe is the son of Al Joe, an award winning Navajo Silversmith artist, specializing in complex, handmade Navajo jewelry. Bryan Joe apprenticed under his father for many years and is now making jewelry using his own hallmark. Bryan's hallmark is almost exactly like his father's but for the initials BJ (Bryan Joe) rather than AJ (Al Joe). Bryan's work is extraordinary by any standard... but for a man so young it is quite spectacular."

For 40 years Sleeping Beauty turquoise was mined in Globe, Arizona, producing the most beautiful turquois in the United States. In the 1960's & 70's there was an abundance of this turquoise. But in 2012 the Globe mined closed, sending the prices of the material skyrocketing. Although some Sleeping Beauty material can be found for reasonable prices, on the average, Sleeping Beauty is now the most valuable Turquoise in the United States.
