Mudheads, or the Koyemsi are Native American Hopi clown figures that dance, play drums and interact with the audience at most all Hopi ceremonies. The name Mudhead, is derived from their masks, which are composed of hardened mud.

Paul & Dorothy Guterriez are award winning traditional Santa Clara style artists whom specialize in figurines and Mudheads. Each one of their pieces is created exclusively by them, from collecting the material to the firing to the sanding and polishing.

This Mudhead figurine is signed by Paul & Dorothy on the bottom and measures ~ 1-1/4" wide  x  1-3/4" long  x  1-1/2" high.
