More Information
Rhodonite is an opaque manganese silicate mineral that displays pale pink to deep red with brown/black inclusions. It has a shimmering luster that is usually due to inclusions of calcite, iron, and magnesium. It was first discovered in 1819 by CF Jasche. It was named after the Greek word for “rose”. Metaphysically, it's said to help with compassion and love.
