    10" Long Oreodont Skull "Merycoidodon"

    $1,595.00

    Out of stock

All the matrix meticulously removed from this specimen's mouth, gives this Oreodont skull a more formidable appearance than what the temperament of the creature actually was. The teeth are original to the specimen. It appears there's been no restoration to the piece. Normally the zygomatic arches are reconstructed. But, that appears not to be the case in this instance.Repair is minimal and the specimen appears to have taken on interesting iron per-mineralization throughout its fissure lines. The piece comes with a simple wooden display stand. Or it will stand by itself. A gem
