More Information

Dendroolithus egg is a type of fossilized dinosaur egg found primarily in Mongolia & China, characterized by a distinctive microscopic shell structure called a dendrospherulitic morphotype, where the shell units form irregular, branching columns resembling a tree. These eggs, which were often laid by ornithopods like hadrosaurs, date from the Late Cretaceous period, approximately 100 to 72 million years ago.
