More Information
Cuproadamite is a variant of the mineral Adamite, containing trace elements of copper. This copper gives it its distinct green color. Adamite is a zinc arsenate hydroxide mineral that's typically found in weathered or oxidized areas above zinc ore. Though pure Adamite is usually colorless, this Cuprian variant is easily distinguishable by its color - which ranges from pale to deep, emerald green. Famous for its rich mineral diversity, the Tsumeb Mine in Namibia produces some of the world’s finest Cuproadamite specimens.
