More Information

Gmelinite was named after German mineralogist Christian Gottlob Gmelin (1792-1860). It is one of the most rare minerals in the Zeolites family. The crystals form in shallow, six-sided double pyramids and can be found in a variety of different colors (mostly in the light yellow to red range).
