Goldstone is the only man-made stone that we sell. It was on of the first materials ever synthesized by man. Goldstone is a glass-like material with crystaline copper that gives it amazing sparkle. This necklace is made of 10mm round goldstone beads, strung on silk with a knot between each bead. It closes with a large sterling silver lobster clasp. Measures 18" in length.
After collecting fossils as a hobby for many years growing up, Dave Douglass opened Dave's Down to Earth Rock Shop in 1970 at the age of 20 (with the help of his parents) at 1312 Chicago Avenue in Evanston, Illinois. The shop contained minerals and fossils, mostly self-collected by the Douglass family.
