x5-Disc Mother of Pearl and Shell Necklace
A contemporary style necklace with 5 discs of square cut mother of pearl inlaid within a circle of black shell. The stones are slightly graduated measuring 15mm, 17mm and 19mm. The necklace has three "loops" at the end to make it adjustable between 17 and 18" long.
Measurements: ~Discs are 15 to 19mm, 17 to 18" total length

This necklace consists of Mother of Pearl and black mussel shell. Mother of Pearl is an organic-inorganic composite material produced by some molluscs as an inner shell layer and makes up the outer coating of pearls. The material is strong, resilient, and iridescent. The black mussel shell is finely polished until the texture is smooth and shiny.
