This pendant consists of Mother of Pearl and black mussel shell. Mother of Pearl is an organic-inorganic composite material produced by some molluscs as an inner shell layer and makes up the outer coating of pearls. The material is strong, resilient, and iridescent. The black mussel shell is finely polished until the texture is smooth and shiny.
