Natural Elestial Citrine - Zambia

In stock
Quick Overview

A rare elestial formation of natural citrine. Fully natural, the crystals have not been polished or cut at all. The crystals have exceptional clarity and color. Because this cluster hasn't been altered- a few of the terminations do have minor chips and imperfections, but in our opinion- it all adds to the beauty of the specimen. The base (matrix) has been cut flat for easy display.

Measurements: ~7" long x 5-1/2" wide x 4-3/4" tall

Location: Zambia

More Information

From the Latin word "citrus / citron tree", Citrine is a variety of Quartz which is composed of silica (SiO2) and forms an important part of most igneous rocks. Quartz occurs in crystalline masses, and when conditions permit, it forms hexagonal crystals. Natural Citrine means that the crystal has been exposed to heat (typically from the earth's core) during its formation, rather than exposed to heat after mining in order to enhance color (heat-treated Amethyst). Metaphysically, Citrine is one of the only minerals that not only promotes clarity of the mind, but also aids in success and prosperity, particularly in business. Citrine is also said to be helpful in repelling a wide variety of negative energies.

Elestial Crystal formation refers to layers of small terminations that form over one another in overlapping rows. This gives the crystal cluster an etched, multi-layered look. Elestial crystals are the result of unstable environmental conditions during the crystal's growth.
