Hello Folks! Unfortunately, Evanston has reinstated mask mandates, due to the Covid Delta Variant. We know it's a hassle. But, it's the law and we ask everyone to comply when entering the shop. Road work is ongoing. But, the public parking lot will remain available just West of the shop, at 721 Main. On Saturdays, you will also be able to keep parking on the street. Thank you again for your support & understanding!
A kachina (or katsina) is a religious icon from the Hopi culture. Hopi kachinas are elaborately carved by artists who spend their whole life studying the art of carving as well as aquiring a deep understanding of Hopi spirituality. Other cultures like the Navajo (Dineh) have adopted kachina making, integrating some of thier own icons into the craft.
